Welcome to the IAGG-ER 2011 Congress Papers Symposia Submission web-site.
The Scientific Committee invites authors to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation at the VII European Congress. Instructions for a correct submission can be found below; please remember to submit the abstract before 15 October 2010
A - Submission Procedure
Abstract submission is FREE OF CHARGE.
Abstract must be submitted on-line via www.iaggbologna2011.com. No faxed or e-mailed abstracts will be accepted. Abstracts successfully submitted will be reviewed by experts in the selected category (Topic). The Scientific Committee will use these evaluations to develop the congress programme.
To submit your abstracts, a password is required. If you are already registered, please insert your UserName and Password to enter; if not, please ask for a Password here below.
Very important: in order to prevent loss of data (that could be caused by several people accessing the on-line submission form), the password provided is strictly personal and is reserved only for the paper submitter. In no case, this password should be forwarded to other Authors.
The submission of abstracts will be done exclusively on-line by the Author.
The Author will be able to update or revise the submission at any time before the final deadline (10 October 2010) by returning to the online submission form.
The Scientific Committee official acceptance of the paper will be sent within 30 November 2010.
Acceptance of the abstract is subdued to the Congress Registration of the first Author.
B - Abstract format
For standardization, please note that the text should not exceed 2.500 characters (author's details, headers, text, punctuation and spaces included). Insert the title and the abstract text in the fields: we suggest you to "Copy and Paste" the abstract text from a saved document file, please avoid to type the text directly in the boxes, you have only 20 minutes at your disposal.
Only one Topic is allowed.
Abstracts must be submitted in English only and in a plain text format (no tables, graphs, charts or images).
The abstract should be structured into the following 7 sections:
a. Title of the Paper
b. Background
c. Objectives
d. Methods
e. Results
f. Conclusions
g. References
Please do not insert any title for sections (es. Conclusions); titles will be added automatically on the printed version. We suggest you to "Copy and Paste" the abstract text from a saved document file (please avoid to type the text here directly: you have only 20 minutes at your disposal).
Please remember that no graphs or images can be included.
Please note that the system will only save the latest version submitted and delete all previous ones.
Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors, as it will be reproduced exactly as submitted. No proofreading will be done.
-If an abstract is selected for oral presentation, the presenting Author as specified at submission will be requested to present it in the assigned session. Details will be communicated to the author by mid-December 2010.
-If an abstract is accepted as a poster presentation, the presenting Author will be requested to be available for discussion during the corresponding poster viewing session.
-Posters will be set up close to the exhibition area.
-The posters need to be printed in landscape. The usable surface of the display panels measures 120 cm (height) x 80 cm (width); adhesive material will be provided.
-Please use letters large enough to be read from a distance of 1.5 meters.
C - Number of abstracts
Each first Author can send two papers max. The number of abstracts is limited to one per paper (i.e. presentation title).
An abstract should not be submitted if it has been identically presented on a previous occasion.
Submitted abstracts can not be re-edited and modified after the submission.
D - Submission confirmation
If your submitted abstract has been accepted by the system, you will receive a confirmation number. If no confirmation number is received, the abstract cannot be considered as successfully submitted.
Abstracts of papers submitted will be published in a supplement of "AGING CLINICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH". Accepted abstracts will also be available on-line on the Congress web-site, about one month prior to the congress and thereafter in the IAGG-ER Abstracts archives on the web-site.
The submission of an abstract constitutes a formal commitment by the presenting Author to present the abstract (if accepted) orally or as a poster in the session and at the time assigned by the IAGG-ER Scientific Committee. We therefore recommend that submitters of abstracts register for the Congress simultaneously with abstract submission.
Abstracts not adhering to these guidelines will be rejected. If you do not agree with any of these rules, you should not submit an abstract. The final decision about acceptance of an abstract will be taken by the IAGG-ER Scientific Committee.
If you need to withdraw your abstract, a written statement reflecting the reasons for this decision must be sent to the IAGG-ER Congress Secretariat not later than 15 October 2010.

it is the intend of IAGG-ER to provide high-quality sessions focused on educational content that is free from commercial influence or bias. Thus, the submitting author of an abstract is requested to declare any potential conflicts of interest for all authors during the abstracts submission.
