The Palazzo della Cultura e dei Congressi and the new Sala Maggiore have fused to form the city’s largest convention complex and will host the VII IAGG-ER Congress in 2011.

Located in one of Europe’s most prominent trade fair districts, it is the ideal venue for hosting events of any dimensions thanks to its space completely configurable. The Palazzo della Cultura e dei Congressi has been built in 1975 by architect Melchiorre Bega and offers a range of meeting rooms seating from 20 to 1.350 people.

Its main hall, Europauditorium, is a splendid example of a multi-functional container with a capacity of 530, 850 and 1.350 as required. Characterized by a well-equipped stage and by a perfect acoustics, it’s a suitable location for quality musical entertainments too.

The Sala Maggiore provides large spaces on three levels and features large halls equipped to host exhibitions, receptions and formal gala dinners in an elegant yet modern setting.

The Nuovo Polo Congressuale is located in the fair district at short distance from the city centre. The venue benefits from excellent transport links, too.

LANGUAGE
The official language of the Congress is English.

CME Accreditation (only for Italian participants)
An application for CME accreditation will be made once the final program of the whole Congress has been finalized, by the Ministry of Health in compliance with national CME regulations. All participants who wish to receive CME credits must fill in the CME evaluation form.
CME forms cannot be collected on behalf of other people. The Organizing Secretariat will send certificates only to participants who have complied with all CME requirements and only after having checked the learning test. No credits will be granted for illegible and incomplete forms. The attendance will be certified signing the official documents provided by the Organizing Secretariat at the entrance of the Auditorium.

Poster Display
Posters will be displayed in panels for the duration of the Congress. Presenters are kindly asked to attend their posters during breaks.

Poster Awards
The Congress awards prizes for the best Posters. The Poster Presentations will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee. The prizes for the Posters will be awarded at the Closing Ceremony of the Congress.

Program Changes
The Scientific and Organizing Secretariats reserve the right to change the program for technical and/or scientific reasons.

Commercial Exhibition
The most recent technical innovations will be represented at the Congress with a significant exhibition, open accordingly to the Scientific Program.

Certificate of Attendance
Certificates of attendance will be available for all regularly registered participants, at the Registration Desk and will be distributed, upon request, on the final day of the event.

Catering Services
Catering services will be provided in the Exhibition area.

Congress Badges
All participants, accompanying persons and exhibitors are kindly requested to wear their Congress badges, in order to be admitted to the lecture halls and all scheduled activities.

Registration
Registration forms sent or postmarked up to February 28th, 2011 will be accepted for pre-registration. After this date, registration will be available exclusively on site at the Congress Venue. On receipt of payment, your registration will be acknowledged in writing by the Organizing Secretariat.

Please note that availability of all congress material for persons registering on-site cannot be guaranteed.

Please be informed that the Opening Ceremony is available for a restricted number of participants. The Organizing Secretariat will acknowledge the participation in the confirmation letter, accordingly to the arrival order of the registrations.

 

Cancellation and refund policy
Requests of cancellation will be accepted on writing to the Organizing Secretariat within January 1st, 2011; an administrative fee of 50,00 Euros per person will be charged. After this deadline, no refund will be provided.
On site new registration does not necessary entitle the participants to receive all Congress material, that will be available in limited quantity.
