A detailed list of very interesting visits to the city of Bologna has been organized, upon payment of the Accompanying persons registration fee; participants are kindly invited to fill in the registration form and send it to the Organizing Secretariat.
Requests to be received at Congress Venue will be fulfilled with respect to the remaining availability.

Registration
Registration forms sent or postmarked up to March 27^th, 2011 will be accepted for pre-registration. After this date, registration will be available exclusively on site at the Congress Venue. On receipt of payment, your registration will be acknowledged in writing by the Organizing Secretariat.
At the Congress site, accompanying persons are kindly requested to wear their badge, in order to be admitted to the lecture halls and all scheduled activities.

Please note that availability of all congress material for persons registering on-site cannot be guaranteed.

Please be informed that the Opening Ceremony is available for a restricted number of participants. The Organizing Secretariat will acknowledge the participation in the confirmation letter, accordingly to the arrival order of the registrations.

Cancellation and refund policy
Requirement of minimum booking applies to any of the tour programs. Full refunds will be issued if an activity is cancelled due to lack of participants. Full refund of all tours will be granted if written notice of cancellation within January 1^st, 2011. For cancellations after that date no refund will be made.
Requests of cancellation will be accepted on writing to the Organizing Secretariat within January 1^st, 2011; an administrative fee of 50,00 Euros per person will be charged. After this deadline, no refund will be provided.
On site new registration does not necessary entitle the participants to receive all Congress material, that will be available in limited quantity.

FLORENCE – FULL DAY

Duration: full day by train 8.30 am - 7.00 pm
Minimum: 20 people
Price per person: € 130,00

Meeting point with the guide in front of the Main train station and departure to Florence .
Lunch in a traditional Florentine restaurant . The day will be dedicated to a walking tour around the most famous sites of the city, including Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, il Duomo, il Campanile di Giotto, Basilica di Santa Croce.
Return to Bologna late in the afternoon

BOLOGNA (walking tour) – HALF DAY
Duration: 3 hours - 3.00 pm - 6.00 pm (meeting point at 2.45 pm Neptune Fountain)

• PIAZZA MAGGIORE. It has always been at the heart of city’s life since Roman times as you can see from the recent discoveries unearthed from the former stock -exchange hall
  
• KING ENZO’ S PALACE. A romanesque building dated back to 1244 used as a prison for the son of the emperor Frederich the second.
  
• PALAZZO D’ ACCURSIO. A medieval fortress now used as the TOWN HALL.
  
• NEPTUNE FOUNTAIN .A masterpiece of the Flemish sculptor Jean Boulogne (Gianbologna)
  
• HALL OF THE NOTARIES. The former seat of the Notaries’ Guild.
  
• BASILICA OF St. PETRONIO. The most belated gothic church in Europe with a famous sundial.
  
• PALAZZO DEL PODESTA’. A 15th century building with an important renaissance facade.
  
• THE ARCHIGINNASIO. The first permanent seat amongf the most ancient Universities in Europe with a famous anatomical theatre
  
• MEDIEVAL MARKET. A walk along the narrow streets of one of the most picturesque market.
  
• THE TWO TOWERS. Built in the 12th century as a status symbol of the most important bolognese families.
  
• PALAZZO DELLA MERCANZIA. [Merchants’ Hall] A beautiful example of the flourishing gothic style.
  
• PORTICOES. A ribbon of more than 35 kilometres of columns which goes all along the town.

VENICE – FULL DAY

Duration: full day by bus 8.30 am – 7.00 pm
Minimum: 20 people

Meeting point with the guide in front of the main railway station and departure to Venice.
Transfer by private taxi boat to Piazza San Marco. Lunch in a traditional restaurant. Visit the most famous monuments: Palazzo Ducale, seat of the Doges and the highest judicial Courts, The Basilica, architectural beauty in Byzantine Venetian style, the Ponte Rialto (symbol of Venice) and the Jewish Ghetto.
Return to Bologna late in the afternoon.

N.B. For those tours where it is requested a minimum of 20 persons (FIRENZE and VENEZIA) the credit card will be charged only at the moment that we join the minimum.
